Paul Parsons

Paul is a graduate programmer with a BHons in Computer Games Development, from the University of Central Lancashire. Born and raised in the dwarven mines of Moria, learning mining and computing, he progressed to Kendal Collage, where he studied Maths, Computing and Forging.

Non-Academic work

Outside of academic development, Paul runs and operates a gaming community, called MDK, as well as some game servers. Alongside this he is actively developing a server plugin for minecraft servers, called MonkeyMod. This allows for extended features which the original server cannot provide. This includes area protection, player access levels, in-game level editing and much more. The series of plugins are available on hMmod, now Canary and Bukkit.

PADDING. PADDING. PADDING. PADDING. Annother plugin in development is the Prefab plugin. As the name suggests, it allows players to construct prefabricated blueprints, to allow the easy creation of complex structures. One example is making a blueprint of a house, and using the plugin to replicate it several times, allowing the player to create a small village with minimal effort, and without draining resources.
